OpenStudy (dehelloo):

What are the x - intercepts for the graph with equation y=3x^2+4x-1 The answer is -2+sqr root of 7/3 and -2-sqr root of 7/3. I don't see how though. If I use the quadratic formula I get -4-sqr root of 28/6 and -4+sqr root of 28/6. What am I doing wrong?

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

Sorry for closes it, was an accident.

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

I get that the 28 is just squared but how does the -4 turn to -2

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

And why does the 6 turn to a 3.
