Help please!
a) What is the difference between a Σ^0 (uds) and a Λ (uds)? I know that these particles have different isospin but how can the difference in their isospin affect their properties?
b) Classify the following two decays as strong, electromagnetic, or weak:
1) Σ^0 (uds) to Λ (uds) + γ (lifetime 7 .10 -20 s )
2) Σ^- (dds) to n(ddu) + π- (du ̅) (lifetime1. 10 -10 s)
