A drainage channel is to be made so that its cross-section is an inverted isosceles trapezoid, that is, equal sides and shorter bottom base. If the length of the shorter base must be twice the side length, how many degrees should each upper trapezoid angle be to yield the greatest cross-sectional area? ______________________________ I have A(theta) = 2SinTheta + 2CosThetaSinTheta but I'm not sure that's correct and I still need to calc. an angle in degrees.
