i need help writing my journalism essay. This is the passage i chose: A teenager posts a blog about an ex-boyfriend, listing several of his personal and physical flaws. The ex-boyfriend responds by posting a blog of his own that states several untruths about the person who posted the original blog. Both parties' parents sue each other for defamation of character.

I wrote: "This is libel because all of this was said over a blog, not orally. I believe both parties are wrong because they both exhibited defamation of character towards the other person. For example, the girl was wrong because she broadcast all of the boys flaws and insecurities, knowing that people would probably judge him. The boy was wrong for retaliating and saying things that weren't true about the girl. Since they are both wrong, I think they should agree to remove all offensive material from the internet, and end the lawsuits. However, if they did sue I believe the outcome of the case would be for both parties to pay the money that they're being sued for, or I think the judge would rule both cases out because they both have fallacious arguments."
