Why is there no one universally accepted definition of terrorism?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

copy paste that into google. unless you wanted to have a conversation about it ^_^ i don;t think this is the right section btw

OpenStudy (usarmy3947):

and to me Terrorism is non human and should be put a stop to either the easy way (terrorist surrendering weapons and their ways) or the hard way (war) which we are having right now. It's Time For America To Show What We Are Made Of and Give our Selves Respect . GO AMERICA

OpenStudy (compassionate):

First of all, the biggest form of terrorism in the United States is the Revenue systems and HealthCare. Literally - these two things alone force millions of people to submit, and become a slave-to-the-wage. Secondly, terrorism is when a group of people, or individual, threatens, usually on a large scale, to control certain groups by force and fear-tactics e.g., bombing mosques and towers, to send a political message, or to spread a religious belief or ideology.

I don't feel at all that HealthCare is a form of terrorism. That statement is biased and based on wether or not you support it. But Im not going to start a political war right now. There is no universally accepted def. of terrorism because it depends on how you see it. Someone might think that bombing an abortion clinic is right and is for the greater good and others might feel it is not right and that the person doing it is a "terrorist". But it really just depends on your outlook and your sense of right and wrong.
