Complete the table, given that g is a linear function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A linear function is given by g(x) = mx + b, where m and b are constants

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how do I complete the table?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug in values in that equation to find m and b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you give me an example of how i would plug in any values?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = 2, g(x) =1 g(x) = mx + b, 1 = 2m + b Do the same for the second set of values.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay but what do i do once i have 1=2m+b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you will get another equation, with the second set solve for m and b use values of m and b to get the answer
