OpenStudy is having a few minor issues that may result in loss of smart score, Messages not being received, Notifications not going away and several other issues. We assure you the tech team is doing everything they can to have the system up and running regularly again. Please be patient & do not spam the site with posts of the issue in the mean time. No, it just means that we can't see them.

I'll get a little more technical for you here. When people make names with strange characters it tends to cause problems with the code. When you make a account there is immediately code automatically made with your name included. If you have a character that the browser recognizes in your name it can change it to be part of the code thus messing up the website. In short someone has made a weird name or something to that extent that has caused us to not be able to view the smart scores. They are still there but we can not see them. Give the team some time to track down the problem as it is a long tedious problem. Let me elaborate on tedious. It is a very painstakingly long process.

hey there. there is no need to worry about this problem.
smartscore is a relative term, so if the problem is for everyone, then relatively, it makes no difference to anyone.
no loss in smartscore!

@SnuggieLad That is so wrong programmatically.
Weird characters should be banned because of confusion, HOWEVER it has ZERO affect on the website itself, the Mogo database OpenStudy uses is much too sturdy to let little unicode characters to affect it.
