I'd say AIDS. Polio has a vaccine for prevention and there are treatments for both tuberculosis and cancer that can force them into remission. Not all the time, or with equal levels of success, but they're far better than what AIDS has. There are treatments that AIDS patients undergo to slow it down, but no cure.
