I have to write a paragraph on a characteristic of God, and I need two examples of this from Genesis 12-50

So try opening a bible and see if you can find some passages, pertaining to his details. His details will most likely be describing what he's done, and what he looks like in the eyes of the man.

I was thinking about talking about the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, and how god pitied Lot, but I am not sure what to write as commentary without being repetitive.

Use what you know based of the story. Find main parts in the story that will allow the reader(teacher) to understand the gist of the story pertaining to god.
