27 3 -- = - 90 ?

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

We have: \[\dfrac{27}{90}=\dfrac3x\] Using cross multiplication we can obtain: \[27x=3\times90\] Multiplying 3 and 90 together we get: \[27x=270\] Dividing both sides by 27 and we get: \[x=10\] Hope that helps you :D
