I have to write 8 sentences. The question is: Using the three words below, write a complete French sentence using the appropriate preposition( à, en, au, aux, de, de la, des, du). My words: 1. Vous, rentrer, Suisse 2. Ils, rentrer, États-Unis 3. Les élèves, rentrer, Canada 4. Je, aller, Mexique 5. Elle, rentrer, Italie 6. Nous, aller, États-Unis 7. Sophie, aller, France. 8. Tu, aller, Paris
My sentences: 1. Vous devez revenir en Suisse. (You must return to Switzerland.) 2. Ils retournent aux États-Unis. (They return to the united states.) 3. Les étudiants retour au Canada. (The students return to Canada.) 4. Je vais au mexique. (I go to Mexico.) 5. Elle retour en Italie était en sécurité. Her return to Italy was safe.) 6. Nous allons aux États-Unis. (We are going to the united states.) 7. Sophie se rend en France. (Sophie is going to France.) 8. Tu allez à Paris. (You are going to Paris.)
4 and 6 are perfect. in 1, 2, 3, 5 you did not use the verb "rentrer" even though the verbs you used: "revenir" et "retourner" mean pretty much the same thing in this context, you probably have to use the indicated verb. same for 7; same meaning but wrong verb. rest is conjugation or technicalities. they never said not to, but on 1 and 5 you seem to have added some extra info I will re-write the ones that are not just simply the wrong verb. 1. Vous rentrez en Suisse (what the teacher probably expects) Vous devez rentrer en Suisse (also works) 3. Les élèves is "ils", make sure you conjugate accordingly 5. Elle rentre en Italie (what the teacher probably expects) "Elle retour" doesn't make sense but : Son retour en Italie était en sécurité (does, but it doesn't use "Elle") 8. Tu vas à Paris
