Can you help me answer the questions on this? http://assets.openstudy.com/updates/attachments/52829d02e4b0218bc65048d2-morpeace-1384291703810-activityunit5portfoliocircumcenter.pdf

OpenStudy (annipuppi):

I've already done the constructions but I just don't understand what I'm supposed to say to answer the questions...

OpenStudy (annipuppi):

@ganeshie8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

for circumcenter questions :- the construction works cuz, you're folding the paper along the side in half, so that the crease formed is perpendicular to the side, and also it forms exactly at the midpoint of side.

OpenStudy (annipuppi):

Oh sorry.. I forgot to add that we get extra credit to make the constructions using a compass and no folding so thats what I did... so how would I answer the questions for that?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

put in ur own words, how u constructed the circumcenter... just frame some words.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

like :- the construction works, cuz the circumcenter is obtained by constructing perpendicular bisectors of sides using compass and straight edge. since circumcenter is the meeting point of perpendicular bisectors, this construction works. it looks bit recursive explanation, but ur teacher is expecting oly this much for now.

OpenStudy (annipuppi):

Okay that makes since...

OpenStudy (annipuppi):

sense*

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

wat do u think about 2nd q ?

OpenStudy (annipuppi):

Its equidistant from each vertex?

OpenStudy (annipuppi):

I think I get the incenter and circumcenter now but I need help answering the questions about the centeroid @ganeshie8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

u wanto knw how to answer these :- ```  Does there appear to be anything else that is special about the centroid?  What does the centroid do to each median? (Describe the median segment)  How do these two segments compare in length? Test your conjecture. ``` ?

OpenStudy (annipuppi):

Oh wait nevermind I figured it out. Thanks for the help!

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

glad to hear :) u may get back... if u get stuck on something... we can discuss :))
