2/3 divided by 5/6
Look at this example : ;) 1/2 / 2/3 = 1/2 * 3/2 OK ?;)
\(\dfrac ab\)divided by \(\dfrac cd\) is the same thing as \(\dfrac ab\) times \(\dfrac dc\) :D
2/3 ÷ 5/6 = (2 × 6) / (5 × 3) = 12/15 = 4/5
Here are two videos that will help you on answering questions of the same kind :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQMU-lsMb3U (this is the explanation) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkPY4UqJ44 (this is the examples)
when dividing fractions you " flip " what you are dividing by, then multiply 2/3 divided by 5/6. Now what are you dividing by ? You are dividing by 5/6. So flip 5/6 and multiply... 2/3 divided by 5/6 = 2/3 x 6/5 = 12/15 = 4/5 now if you flipped 2/3...3/2 x 5/6 .....this would be incorrect
You're right, it's 4/5 http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=2%2F3+divided+by+5%2F6
