- helpp pleaseee , I am supposed to do an experiment with steel wool taped to the bottom of a glass jar and I am supposed to place it in a dish filled with water , upside down . I have to observe it for 5 days . The water level is going down (evaporation) but the steel wool is not changing. I am beginning to think my mom did not get the right kind of steel wool. Isn't it supposed to rust ?
