Some race car engines make noises in excess of 150 decibels. Explain how the sound of the car's engine travels through the air to your auditory cortex

The frequency and sound waves of the car engine work its way into the pinna, which funnels sounds into the ear canal. The sound waves of thew engine vibrate the tympanic membrane and resonates the air vibration frequency. The noise from the car engine is pushed against the hammer, anvil, and the stirrup. The stirrup transfers the sound of the engine in the cochlea's membrane. The fluid within the cochlea cause hairs to maneuver against the basilar membrane. Signals of the engine's sound triggers electrical impulses to the thalamus. From the thalamus the car engine's sound waves are broadcast to the auditory cortex of the brain.
