What would be the strand of complementary DNA produced by the strand of DNA shown below? CGT ATA A. CGT ATA B. GCA TAT C. GCU TUT D. GCA UAU

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HELP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PLZ

OpenStudy (gtxmuqsit):

It's B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Recall that complementary DNA strands have opposite nucleotides. A binds to T C binds to G The complementary strand, therefore, should have nucleotides that bind to the original strand's nucleotides.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i also think its B. well im 99.9% sure it is B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is it called when a bactyerium uses a virus to transfer its DNA to another bacterium? A. Transformation B.Conjugation C.Transcription D.Transduction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have no clue on this one sorry i haven't taken biology ina year :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's ok ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does anyone else know what the answer could be

OpenStudy (gtxmuqsit):

bro you have asked a wrong qts.

OpenStudy (gtxmuqsit):

Virus uses bacterium

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Transduction

How are genes and proteins related? A.Genes and proteins are both made of DNA B.Proteins are made of parts of genes C.Proteins are used to build genes D.Proteins are made from instructions in genes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Proteins are used to build genes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is incorrect. Proteins are polypeptide chains, whilst DNA is constructed from covalently bonded sugars and hydrogen bonded nucleotides. Genes are further unrelated, as they are simply an area of a chromosome that codes for a particular trait. However, genes *are* involved in the production of proteins. Information from the genes is transcribed onto RNA, then sent to a ribosome to be assembled into a protein.

It was the last one... What effect will a virus in the lytic have on an organism? A.It will spread bacteria in the respiratory system B.It will have no direct effect on the organism C.It will cause a disease in the organism D.It will cause gentic mutation in the sex cells

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@someguyfromcrowd WEll i hAd A TEST ON This....! & Thats What i Choosed .... internet Anwser Aren'T Always Right.... i Know you Used a Sight but iF Thats The Anwser Then Pheww ! GoodLuck With That

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol it's ok if i get few wrong..it's all good coniquee

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, I didn't have to look it up. I'm a Chemistry major at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology who just took his final over cell structure and function~

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lOL iM jS @LaShaun97

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok can u plz answer my question someguyfromcrowd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol yea ik @coniquee

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As for your last question, do you mean a virus in the lytic phase? The lytic cycle of a virus involves infecting a host cell, making thousands of copies of itself, and then lysing the cell to spread itself to other cells.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which is a difference between bacteria and virusesthat shows that bacteria are living organisms and viruses are not? A.Bateria respond to their enviroment B.Bacteria contain DNA C.Bacteria use binary fission D.Bacteria are made of cells

OpenStudy (gtxmuqsit):

It's D buddy :)

OpenStudy (gtxmuqsit):

@lashaun97
