To solve equation with 2 variables we need 2 equations

So the first thing I would do is shift Y so it can be by itself. Move -3y to the otherside, and the 10 to the opposite side. So: 7x-10=3y then divide by 3 so there is only one y: y=(7/3)x - (10/3) Hope this helps
