Help Density Concept Problem Consider a rectangular block of ice floating in water in an open vessel. Let a denote the height of the ice block showing above the water surface, and b the height of the submerged part of the ice block. Given a, b, the density water of liquid water and the density ice of the ice, which relation- ship is correct? 3. ice/water = a + b/b 4. ice/water = b/a + b 5. ice/water = a − b/a + b 7. ice/water = a/b − a 8. ice/water = b/a

so what I do know is that water is more dense than ice, that is why the ice floats. perhaps with that intuition you can figure out the problem. let me know if I can help more
