who knows how to do matrices equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll try but not a tough one. Post yours, please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(here we go) X-3y=-1 -5x+16y=5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x =-1 , y=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wonder why don't you ask how can I get that answer. However, as long as you are OK, I have no question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since you said that how did you get that answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by what number do u add by in the first step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahaha.... really want to know or just ask to show politeness?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i want to know LOL really i do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my teacher is Russian and every word she says it comes out wrong it's hard to understand her

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, I use calculator to get the answer to make sure it is 100%correct. But if you want to get the method, here it is the matrix is \[\left[\begin{matrix}1&-3&-1\\-5&16&5\end{matrix}\right]\] time 5 to row1 + row 2, you get \[\left[\begin{matrix}1&-3&-1\\0&1&0\end{matrix}\right]\] time3 to row 2 +row 1, you get \[\left[\begin{matrix}1&0&-1\\0&1&0\end{matrix}\right]\] that means x = -1, y =0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks very much i more or less get it now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why more, why less?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because im in the middle it's not hard it's not easy but can be tricky
