Help with rational inequalities please...question below thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 3x-2 }{ x+4? } < 2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry there isn't supposed to be a question mark after the 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Times x+4 on both sides \[3x-2<2x+8\] Then you minus 2x on both sides \[x-2<8\] Lastly, you add 2 on both sides \[x <10\]

OpenStudy (shamil98):

\[\large \frac{ 3x-2 }{ x+4 } < 2\] multiply both sides by (x+4) \[\large 3x-2 < 2(x+4)\] Can you do it from here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

great, thanks for your help...wouldn't the answer also include x cannot equal 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be -4<x<10
