A 12 ft by 15 ft rectangular swimming pool has a 3-ft-wide no-slip surface around it. What is the perimeter of the no slip surface?

I believe you would add the 3ft to both the 12ft and 15ft sides. 12+3 and 15+3, and from that, use the equation P=2L+2W, the L and W being the sum of 12+3 and 15+3, individually.
