if you had 2 different shirts and 2 different pants, then the different wardrobe options you have is 2 * 2 = 4. This problem is similar. You can see this. For example, 1 red 1 green shirt, 1 red 1 green pant, so you have as options {r,r}, {r,g}, {g,r},{g,g}, where each pair represents a {shirt,pant} pair.
