Aliyah had $24 to spend on seven pencils. After buying them she had $10. How much did each pencil cost?

hmm here we see that the total cost of pencils was 14 dollars(24 - 10 = 14)... from here we know that they bought 7 pencils. so: 14/7 =2...this means that each pencil cost 2 dollars...thats a bit overpriced for a pencil lol...
