Use the matrices to answer the question. Which matrices can be added together? (Points : 1) A: R and S B: K and T C: S and T D: T and R

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in order to be added, matrices must have the same dimension.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which ones have the same dimension?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See Im having a hard timw with that :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the dimension is just this: (number of rows)by(number of columns) R has 4 rows and 2 columns so it's dimension is 4 x 2 (read as four by two).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh see im thinkin it would be D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you'd be thinking wrong. sorry. check again...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the dimension of K?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 Rows 2 Columns?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep so it is a 2 x 2 matrix. What about S?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

S is 2 Rows 4 Columns

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the Answer R and S?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, R is 4 x 2... S is 2 x 4. the numbers have to be the same and in the same order. R has 4 rows but S only has 2. They don't have the same dimension.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's always Rows by Columns

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So K and T?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the dimension of each?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I put in the picture

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I put them* in the picture

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know but i'm asking you the dimensions of each. I know what they are i'm just checking that you know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My computer is super slow anit takes forever to write
