Graph the line. y=1/2x - 3 What is the slope? What is the y-intercept? I will provide the graph in a moment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope is 1/2, y intercept is -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do I need to provide a graph or can this be done on any ole' graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the equation of a line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=mx+b m is the slope and b is the y intercept

OpenStudy (moonlight10198):

I think they just want you to draw the x and y axis and plot a few points and draw the line. For example plot a point at (0, -3) for the y-int. Plug in numbers for x to find y. Ex) y=1/2(3)-3 and solve for y ending up with (3, whatever y is).

Where do I graph it at? I start at (0, -3), right?
