How did the developments during The Middle Ages and the Renaissance contribute to the Scientific Revolution of the 17th century??

The Renaissance was an age that valued thought, reason, and logic when it came to a lot of things. Considering that the science is based off of all three of those things, they obviously coincide perfectly. The origins of the Scientific Revolution were probably rooted in the Renaissance era more than any other era.
