the perimeter of a rectangle is greater than 25inches. The length of the rectangle is 7 inches. What is the shortest the width of the rectangle could be (to the nearest inch?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6 inches. Here is how I did it. 7 + 7 = 14, so that means you have to get a number that goes from 14 to something greater than 25. We know it can't be one number cause it has 4 sides. So to sum it up, 7+6+7+6=26. Hope this helps.
