The Parent Teacher Organization has raised $1800 to help pay for a year-end trip to an amusement park. They ask that there be one adult for every five students attending. Adult tickets cost $45 and student tickets cost $30. If the group wants to take 50 students, how much will each student need to pay so that adults agreeing to chaperone pay nothing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first find how many Adults will be going by \[5\div50\] and that should give you the amount of adults you need

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you take the amount of adults you need(x) and \[X \times45\]= the amount of extra money that you will need

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then that amount (y)\[y \div50\]= gives you ho much you need to add to each ticket so lets say that amount is (z)\[z +30\] = the amount that each student needs to pay

understand?

yes thank you
