Need help showing work for this problem.Use the substitution method to find all solutions of the systems equations? x^2+y=9 y=2x

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well replace y in the quadratic equation with 2x so you get \[x^2 + 2x =9\] well now to solve for x you have 2 choices 1. Complete the square 2. General quadratic formula for mine, I'd complete the square in x then solve for x hope this helps
