Listening in on many advanced physics lectures led me back here to gain thorough understanding of the equations involved. Wave functions and derivatives seem to be core to our relating interactions between the forces that govern practically all physical phenomena. Based around the unit circle are elegant proofs that help reduce otherwise complex calculations into "bite-size" common sets of mathematical rules. X,Y coordinates help us plot out relative changes in the effect things have on one another in step by step processes, especially where raw data cannot readily be compared in terms that we could otherwise communicate in a clear analysis. Similar formulas appear at the roots of such diverse measurements as gravity, electricity, chemical property, angular momentum, wave fields, etc...
