Anyone in FLVS spanish??
I did twelfth grade Spanish in eighth grade with FLVS, but I had to go back to high school Spanish and I am doing Spanish II, but I can help you with any Spanish... (^_^)
I suck at spanish. @kewlgeek555 heres the assignment. In this lesson, you have learned the following –ar verbs: estudiar (to study), hablar (to speak), escuchar (to listen), mirar (to look at), participar (to participate), necesitar (to need), entregar (to turn in), trabajar (to work), buscar (to look for), practicar (to practice), and dibujar (to draw). Use the above verbs to write a total of nine sentences. Use the above verbs to write a total of nine sentences. Write three sentences about yourself using a verb from the above list (use the "yo" (I) form of the verb). Write three sentences about a friend (use the "él or ella" (he/she) form). Write three sentences about you and a friend (use the "nosotros/nosotras" (we) form). Use at least five different -ar verbs. So I'm not asking you to do the entire assignment, but can you help? Thanks x
Okay, so this is usually what I do. I usually tell people to write their assignments in English, then [try to] translate it by themselves, then post it here and I will correct any mistakes. It might be a little bit more time, but it is MUCH easier. Let me just make this even easier for you. For the first three sentences: What do you study? What do you listen to? What do you participate in? Remember when talking about yourself (yo), you take the root of the word and add -o. For example, "I listen to Vampire Weekend." = "Yo ESCUCHO-O a 'Vampire Weekend'."
Please don't add the dash, though. ^_^
okay so 1. Yo estudo la clase de espanol 2. yo escucho a mi madre 3. Yo participo en los deportes
sorry that took so long my computer died in the process
Okay, you [almost] got it right. It's "estudio", not "estudo", and remember to put "ñ" in "Español."
So now you have, so far, ... "Yo estudio la clase de Español. Yo escucho a mi madre. Yo participo en deportes." Now to talk about a friend. When you are talking about a singular person (él/ella), you add -e to the root. For example, "Ella come pizza" = "She eats pizza" What does your friend work on? What does your friend draw? What does your friend look at?
1. Ella dibuja en la clase de arte con un lápiz 2. él mira el diccionario en clase de ingles 3. Ella necesita papel en clase de arte
I like your examples. :) Though, I think, since they are talking about one friend, to start this paragraph by saying: Mi amiga se llama ____. Then you say the following sentences using "ella". ;]
Oh an it's "Ella necesita papel PARA la clase de arte."
Now, I want you to do the "nosotros", "nosotras" part alone. Remember you are talking about you and your friend. And -AR verbs, when speaking about us "nosotros", then in -amos. For example, "Nosotros jugamos" = "We play"
So choose the words that you want from the list since you already used six different -AR verbs. :}
@kewlgeek555 Okay where do the accents go? Nosotros miramos la television Nostoros participar en la clase de espanol Nosotros entregamos un regalo para marita And seriously thank you sooooo much
Hold on a sec. ;]
Okay. Here is your final paragraph: Nosotros miramos la televisión. Participamos en clases de la escuela. Le damos un regalo a Marita. But let me make the whole thing really nice: _____ Mi nombre es Hannah. Yo estudio la clase de español. Yo escucho a mi madre. Participo en los deportes. Mi amiga se llama _____. Dibuja en la clase de arte con un lápiz. Ella también tiene el papel de la clase de arte. Ella mira el diccionario para la clase de Inglés. Nosotros miramos la televisión. Participamos en clases de la escuela. Le damos un regalo a Marita. -----
Oops, I meant "Ella necesita el papel" Sorry 'bout that mistake.
OMG THANK YOU SOO FREAKING MUCH. Can you help me with one more thing?
Of course.
Choose 3 of the 5 questions below and respond to each with a complete Spanish sentence and record your answers. ¿Quién habla contigo? ¿Cuándo estudias con ella? ¿Qué escuchas con ellos? ¿Dónde practicas el español conmigo? ¿Qué miras con nosotros?
Okay, so let's do it similar to before. I translate this, you answer in English, translate it by yourself, and I look for any mistakes in your transalation. Who talks with you? When do you study with her? What do you listen with them? Where do you practice Spanish with me? What do you see with us?
¿Cuándo estudias con ella? yo estudio con ella en Jueves ¿Dónde practicas el español conmigo? yo estudio con usted en clase española ¿Qué escuchas con ellos? yo escucho música con ellos
Oops. Sorry for the late reply. You had just minor mistakes: Yo estudio con ella el jueves. Yo estudio con usted en la clase de español. Escucho música con ellos.
Its fine(: And do I need to capitalize "Jueves"?
Nope. It's weird with Spanish. You only capitalize names an the beginning of the sentence. You do not capatilize all the words in titles, or weekdays like we do. For example: "Tom Sawyer's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" Spanish: "Tom Sawyer's los aventuras de Tom Sawyer"
Oh okay! that is weird! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH.
I know. I HATE that. You are very welcome.
