Hi fellow OS users Which number is a solution of 3m < 4m + 5? (Points : 1) –4 –5 –6 –7

@croslali

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isnt this simple ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B if you plug in all of them (guess and check)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

WAIT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Ballplop no you are wrong the answer is -4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats why i said wait..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thts wht i figured t would be but im not entirely sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you try to solve in equalities you must sfirst simplify the equation!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thts my only problem if it would be a negative or a positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you will get 0<m+5 and this is only true when m is more than "-5"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if m is -5 then , you would get 0<0 ... but as you know 0 is not grater than zero ... when you plug in the value of -4 the you get 1 on the rhs and hence it it true for all nos greater and -5 ... ie numbers from (-4 to 99999999...)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's -6

@mg400 huh?????
