Please help me!! 7x + 2y = -6 6x - 7y = 21 which graph could this go to?

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

OpenStudy (ranga):

You can quickly find out the y-intercepts of the given two equations by putting x = 0 in each and solving for y. On the graph the y-intercept will be where the line cuts the y axis and you will know which graph does that.

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

I don't understand anything you just said..

OpenStudy (ranga):

7x + 2y = -6 Find the y-intercept of 7x + 2y = -6 To do that, put x = 0 0 + 2y = -6 y = -3 Therefore, if we draw a graph of 7x + 2y = -6 it will cross (or cut) the y axis at y = -3. Do the same for the next equation and find its y-intercept. Then look at each graph and read the y-intercepts. Which graph gives the y-intercepts that you calculated?

I appreciate your help, but I just cannot understand algebra 2. After geometry I haven't been able to understand new things. Sorry to waste your time.

It is better to learn these stuff because you will be able to do similar problems on your own. But if people just give you answer, then you will have to keep asking for answers for similar problems and there won't be any learning.

I can't learn it.. people have tried explaining in the simplest ways..
