Here's one question I had to answer;

People cut down a forest to build a housing development. Describe two ways this action will likely affect the water cycle in the local environment.

Here's my answer:

One way the water cycle would be affected is; there would be more water in the ground. The roots of the trees soak up the water and keep excellent drainage under the ground. Without the trees, this mechanism would be very messed up.
Another way it could be affected is that there would be no more perspiration from the trees. This could change the humidity of the area.

One way that water moves through Earth's atmosphere is, it evaporates from things such as oceans. From there it may condensate to form clouds.

Another way is that the water from the clouds can precipitate and fall in rain, sleet, snow or hail.
