MEDALLLSS!! Find the lateral area of the pyramid shown to the nearest square yard.
Find the slant height of the cone to the nearest meter.
You need to find the slant height, do you know how to do this?
know thats what i need help with
You have the central height, and you have a side length, you can use that to form a right triangle to find the slant height. Do you think you could go from there or do you need further guidance?
whats the central height ?
That line in the center of the pyramid, 25 is it's length I think.
Yep, 25 yards.
ohh okayyy got it, um is there a formula or something in still lost in solving it lol
Yeah, but you need the slant height for it :P
well how do i figure that out?
That is what I am in the process of doing, trying to tell you how! :D
So we have this so far. |dw:1385139095177:dw|
What would be the length of the bottom leg? It is half the length of a side as a hint :)
i have to submit my test the times running out so im gonna guess then come back so i can learn this lol
This is a test?
like a pretest thing to see if you have to go through the study
|dw:1385139482532:dw| Use the pythagorean theorem.
