\[\frac{ 2 }{ 3 }X \frac{ 1 }{ 3 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 2 }{ 3 }*\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }\] I'm assuming the X is a multiplication sign, and not a variable. Anyhow, multiply straight across from one another, and then check to see if you can reduce the fraction. What did you get?

\[\frac{ 2 }{ 9 }\]

You don't have to multiply the bottom numbers (3) So just leave it as 3. You got the top number correct though.
