256= 4^x^3 find x

OpenStudy (snowfire):

When doing operations to both sides, you want to go backwards (instead of doing exponents first, do addition up). That means you want to divide by 4 first, then cube root.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first take 4 common,we get 4*(x^3 + 64) now,we can write x^3 + 64 as x^3 + 4^3 so,by the formula of a^3 + b^3 = (a+b)(a^2 + b^2 - ab) we get, 4*(x+4)(x^2 + 16 - 4x) hence,this expression has 3 factors which are 4 , (x+4) and (x^2 + 16 - 4x)
