How many terms are there in the expansion (x + y + z)^10?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

for trinomial expansion the num of terms creates the following sequence: 3,6,10,15,21,28,36,45,55,66,78 ... the 10th in the sequence is 66 there are 66 terms in (x+y+z)^10

OpenStudy (raden):

alternative : The number of terms of an expanded trinomial is 1/2 (n+1)(n+2) in this case, n = 10 1/2 (10+1)(10+2) = 66
