Is there a difference between the square root of (x^6 y^6) and the square root of x^6 y^6 (with and without parentheses) ?? If so how do I find the answer for the one without?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

paranthesis are typing notation to represent what the radical encompasses

OpenStudy (amistre64):

sqrt(x^6y^6) means: \(\sqrt{~x^6~y^6~}\) sqrt x^6 y^6 is ambiguous and as is it means: \(\sqrt{~x^6}~y^6\)
