What the site needs is for notifications to work. Moderation is great, but without notification it is hard.

@PixieDust1 Unfortunately it's not that easy, it takes a while to become a mod. Most mods have been on here for at least a year, most were ambies, and most are 18 or older and are chosen specially. Keep it up and maybe your chances will increase ;3

Mods are not chosen from Ambis. However, an ambi has agreed to follow the CoC more strictly, which is one of the many tings looked for in a mod.

What do Ambis do?

It is an adaption of the term: Ambassador. Someone that is sent out to represent you. The goal is to have them represent what is wanted on OS and to promote OS.

In contrast, moderator has the job of judge, jury, and executioner.

That makes the selection of both pretty careful, but there is far more scrutiny on the selection of a moderator.

Oh, and Ambis that think being one is a path to moderator face a double edged sword. While it does indicates you have some of the qualities and might be a good choice, it also means you are going to be watched more rigorously and any mistakes or poor choices are more likely to be noted and remembered.

Which? Mod? Yes. It is not exactly fun doing moderation, which is why you need to be careful to pick people that will take it seriously. As for being an ambi, well, they just need to follow the rules and make lots of friends to do a large chunk of their job. That can be fvery fun.
