~HELP !! FAST !! I NEED HELP ON THIS !! ♥ A certain type of bacterial cell divides into two cells every hour. So, in a colony of these cells, the population doubles every hour. Which of the following describes the rate of population growth in this colony? A. linear B. neither linear nor nonlinear C. both linear and nonlinear D. nonlinear

nonlinear

cORRECT :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be exponential because the bacteria is doubling every hour, so you could think of that as 2x and then the entire population doubles so it would be like saying 2x^2. Also alot of times with population problems and doubling like that it is exponential growth, meaning lots and lots of growth and more and more each time period.

i said how did she know unless it was a rhetorical question
