Table A x 3 3 2 y 1 0 0 Table B x 3 5 5 y -2 2 -2 Which statement is true for the tables? Both Table A and Table B represent functions. Both Table A and Table B do not represent functions. Table A does not represent a function but Table B represents a function. Table A represents a function but Table B does not represent a function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both Table A and Table B do not represent functions. To be a function you can't have the same input (x value) So in these tables the two 3's as the x value in A and the two 5's as the x value in B show that they aren't functions.

OpenStudy (ranga):

If the same x gives two different y values then it is NOT a function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^^Yeah. Explained it a lot easier than I did:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So table A & B are not functions right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

& u did a good job explaining (: @Kristen17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No they aren't functions:)

Thanks(:
