It's d) i'm struggling with. I can't figure out the bounds or the parametrization.

I'm a bit rusty here, so tell me if you catch me making a mistake, but can we not simply say x=t z=t^2 y=t^4 0<=t<=1 ?

z=y^2 => z^2=y^4 => (t^2)^2) => t^4 ???
