Question why is 3 / 10 = 0.30 where does the last 0 come from why isn't it just 0.3. but on another question is 7 /100 but they just leave that as a 7 and not 70 EXPLAIN TO ME PLEASE the problem deals with money so i dont know if thats the reason why

It probably has to do with significant figures.

Yes, when writing money the decimal is written up to 2 decimal places because the smallest amount in money is a cent = $0.01 So the money amounts are usually written to two decimal places. If a check is written for twenty three dollars and fifty cents it is written as: $23.50 and not as $23.5 even though they both mean the same.
