I have a question about blood types

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mary has type A blood and her husband has type B blood. Her husband's parents both had type AB. They have 3 children - one type A, one type AB and one type B. Relatives suspect one of the children is adopted. What are the parent's blood genotypes?

Which child was adopted? Explain.

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

husbands parents have AB blood group...so gentoype of husband is BB. and mary's blood group can be AA/AO. now if u cross both of them u cannot get blood group A because the genotype of A is AA/AO. since each offspring is going to get 1 letter from father which is B. so the one with blood group A is adopted...

Thanks

happy 2 help:D
