Andy ran the 100-meter dash in 13.4 seconds. Below is a table showing Andy's heart rate during the race. What parent function does Andy's data best represent? Time (in seconds) Heart Rate 0 61.1 5 85.6 9 105.2 11 115 13.5 122.3 A. a linear function B. a cubic function C. a square root function D. an absolute value function

I would say that it is linear even if it my not look like that at first. this is because marked time is not exactly even... going from 0 to 5 is not the same amount of time as going from 5 to 9 5 to 9 is 4 units of time and 9 to 11 is 2 units of time between 5 to 9 the heart rate went from 85.6 to 105.2 which is a difference of 19.6 between 9 to 11 the heart rate went from 105.3 to 115 which is a difference of 9.8 and since 5 to 9 was in 4 units of time while 9 to 11 was in 2 19.6/2 = 9.8 9.8 = 9.8 therefore the parent function would be a linear function...
