An airline that flies from Los Angeles to Albuquerque with a stopover in Phoenix charges a fare of $80 to Phoenix and a fare of $130 from Los Angeles to Albuquerque. A total of 205 passengers boarded the plane in Los Angeles, and fares totaled $24,400. How many passengers got off the plane in Phoenix?

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

I'm going afk for a bit, but I'll bbl if anyone wants to help

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

Im back now btw... just saying lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, call number of $80 tickets x, and number of $130 tickets y. there was a total of 205 passengers so x+y=205 fares totaled 24,400 at 80 per x ticket and 130 per y ticket so 80x+130y=24400 now you have to unknowns and two equations, any idea where to go from here?
