We know the car is 75 in. long, so divide that by 6 (the length of scale model).

You get 12.5 now remember you have to divide both numbers by the same number, since you don't know the width, you can not divide by 12.5, but you know the width of the scale model (or the simplified) which is 3, so do it backwards..

3 * 12.5 = 37.5
