Please help: A 500 litre tank of oil is heated to 60 degrees C. The oil has a specific gravity of 0.93 at this temperature. The oil is stirred with a blade 200mm high x 450mm long. The blade needs to rotate at 100rpm to create a vortex in the oil. I need to find out how many Nm of torque a motor will need to produce to overcome the oils resistance when starting from 0 rpm and accelerating up to 100rpm. The time to reach 100rpm is ideally around 10-15 seconds.
