Is anyone here in Connections Academy, Geometry B?

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

No, but I took Geometry Honors two years back... if that helps?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have a few geometry questions if you could help me with them? =)

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Sure, but I might not answer immediately - I've got to study for a Pre-Calculus test myself. ^-^ Keep the question open so others may come and possibly assist you, though! [:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay cool ^_^ First one is, Find the surface area of the pyramid shown to the nearest whole number.

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

o_o I don't remember that one... I'll have to brush up on that, hold on ^^;;

OpenStudy (nikato):

I'm not sure anout the hexagon base, but u can find the 6 triangles

OpenStudy (nikato):

Since u know the height is 12 and the base of the triangle is 15

OpenStudy (nikato):

And area of a triangle is 1/2( b times h)

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

From mathisfun comes this: http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/pyramids.html The Surface Area of a Pyramid When all side faces are the same: [Base Area] + 1/2 × Perimeter × [Slant Length] When side faces are different: [Base Area] + [Lateral Area]

OpenStudy (nikato):

Or nvm. And btw, that link doesn't really work

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Which one? @nikato

OpenStudy (nikato):

The first one. U need like a login. Just to let u know

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

I didn't log in though? c:

OpenStudy (nikato):

Weird

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

@Cersei do you have the answer yet ? c:
